I've tried to plan my time out rigorously and slotting time for creative pursuits. I've used productivity tools like Getting Things Done (GTD) and tried to adapt them to how I work. Even though this seems to be successful at first, I end up abandoning it after a couple of weeks. I think this occurs because it doesn't allow me to be spontaneous with my time and I feel something like a hamster on a wheel with it. I've been trying to think about how to allow myself to adapt to the day-to-day moods / demands while still slotting in that creative time.<br /><br />In any event, it's a great topic.
