- Brotherhood of the Wolf: I haven't seen the official Solomon Kane movie, but this is what I would expect it to look like.
- The Vikings: Historical adventure, brutal swordplay, Kirk Douglas and Ernest Borgnine!
- The 13th Warrior: Vikings against the Picts.
- Seven Samurai: Honorable warriors battle against overwhelming odds.
- The Mummy: Some of the action scenes, particularly the gunfight on the boat, remind me of El Borak and Kirby O'Donnell (Brendan Fraser's character is named Rick O'Connell...).
- Jason and the Argonauts: A heroic sea voyage across the known world for a fabulous treasure.
- The Golden Voyage of Sinbad: Evil wizards, giant monsters, lost cities, animated statues and lots of swordplay.
- Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom: Pulp adventurers get in and out of deadly situations with evil armies and cultists, in search of fortune and glory...

I have no good memory for movies, but I was amused to see Howard mentioned in the Una the Blade Tumblr account today. Serendipity!
